The SEC has nine teams in bowls this year, which is just another reminder of the superiority of this conference. I have decided to look at each one of the match-ups over the next few days.
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl (Nashville, Tenn. – Monday, December 31, 2012)
Vanderbilt vs. N.C. State – 12 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Vandy has had a great season, 8-4 and get to go across the street to play
N.C. State. I sort of feel sorry for the team, they had the best season in decades and don't even get to leave the state for their bowl.
James Franklin has done wonders for the Commodores and this is a very winnable game for Vandy. NC State is going through a transition after firing Tom O'Brien, but they made a great hire in
Dave Doeren from Northern Illinois to replace him. NC State finished the season with a 7-5 record and 3rd in the ACC.
Vandy had some big wins over Ole Miss and rival Tennessee,
NC State knocked off Florida State. Vandy has played a much tougher schedule than NC State, although beating Florida State was very impressive. Not much to see here unless you are a fan of the schools or nothing else is on, but I do think it will be a very competitive game and could be worth turning to occasionally. All in all I think this will be a good game, but in the end I think Vandy holds the advantage and gets the win.
